Helen was born and brought up in Liverpool, and then studied English at Merton College Oxford.

She took the NHS graduate management training scheme and then worked in the health service until the birth of her eldest daughter. This caused a complete rethink of her priorities, and she became a stay-at-home mum whilst also working on her first novel TWO FOR JOY. This was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 2013, and followed a year later by her second novel TO HAVE AND TO HOLD.

Helen’s e-novella ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS was published in December 2014, and her second daughter was born in the same month.

Helen took a break from book writing to look after her young children, although she carried on her personal blog, A Life More Ordinary as well as contributing guest blog posts to various other sites, including Huffington Post, Selfish Mother and Mother of All Lists.

A THOROUGHLY MODERN MARRIAGE was published by Amazon in 2021.

In between lockdown homeschooling and writing, Helen also trained and qualified as a doula in 2021.

Helen lives in East London with her husband, daughters and extremely needy cat.
