Angela Young is a freelance editor and writer who has worked at the Economist and the Spectator. In 1995, BBC Books published Angela’s conclusion to Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel, THE BUCCANEERS, to tie in with a major television drama starring Michael Kitchen and Sheila Hancock.
Angela graduated from Middlesex University’s MA in Creative Writing in 2002. Her debut novel SPEAKING OF LOVE was published by Beautiful Books in hardback in 2007, and in paperback the following year. Described by Joanna Lumley as 'beautifully written and constructed ... it gives a completely authentic glimpse of a mind disintegrating – I can’t praise it highly enough' and by the Daily Mail as 'a novel with a warmth that makes it a pleasure to read', SPEAKING OF LOVE was shortlisted in Spread the Word’s Books to Talk About 2008, and sold over 4,000 copies.
Angela Young is currently working on her second novel, based on the life of her great-grandmother who sailed on the Titanic in 1912. She lives in south-west London.
